Slacker

So, I know, I have been slacking on my blogging lately. But, what can I say other than i've just been lazy.
All is well in the GA. The air is hot and sticky. Summertime in the south has arrived.
Less than a month til B's 1st birthday! He is a ball of energy taking steps all around the apartment and at school...any day now we will have a full on walker!
He is also very talkative-dada, baba, mama being his favorite words and sometime na-na-na (with a shaking fist means no) and baa for ball...and if you say purple he will repeat you! He also likes to talk into his pretend phone and say his own version of "hello".
With all 8 teeth in his little mouth, Brady is also an eater. He likes any type of food. He is definitely mine and Michaels child, considering we also enjoy food. If you notice his dirty face in his 11 month picture, he was munching on a banana peel. Apparently the banana itself was not a enough...go figure!
We are headed for a little trip to MI next weekend. Well, Michael and Brady will be leaving next Saturday and I will follow up on the 1st. As much as I will miss my boys not being here with me, I will definitely be catching up on my sleep that I have missed out on over the past year!
And, of course, I can not leave you without some photos!

I failed to mention that he also loves to clap now! This is obvious in the above photos!

10 Down, 2 to Go!

Ten months old. Hard to believe? To me it is!
It is just mind boggling that Brady will be a year old in 2 months! Actually, a day short of 2 months today! My little booger is going to be a toddler...scary!

Brady would like to let those of you that wish to buy him a birthday present, know, that he is working on a wish list on toysrus.com! To view it all you have to do is type in his name, and, I believe, Georgia.

Mother's Day 2009

I hope all you mother's had a great day!
I got to sleep in (until 9:30) and woke up to a nice, large, iced coffee just the way I like it-cream and extra sugar.Brady got me a card with a "coupon" for a new pair of sunglasses for our Florida trip and Michael made breakfast too, but I wasn't too hungry, being that I am not a morning eater. Well, the coffee gave me a nice sugar and caffiene buzz so I did some cleaning.

After some cleaning and showering we decided to go do some shopping, but had to throw a mini photo shoot in beforehand.

<

I bought Molly a birthday present and Michael bought him and Brady a few things, and I got some new sunglasses. Then we headed to dinner where we had to sneak in some more pictures!

And, to end the night, we decided to take Brady to the park to play and take even more pictures! Good thing he likes the camera!

May Flowers? I See May Showers...

So, I've been somewhat of a slacker lately, when it comes to updating this blog.
B is gettin' big, yet still underweight. Weird...to me, at least, considering that all he does is eat.
He is now starting to let go of whatever he is holding onto when he stands, and can stand alone for about 15 seconds, then plops on his butt. He's still not too sure on how to walk. The concept of moving your feet to get somewhere hasn't hit him yet. He'll hold on to his push walker and "push it" with his hands, then his feet just stay planted in the same spot, and, well, you know the outcome...he falls on his belly. We are working on it though.
We are going garage saling today, and possibly to the outlet mall. We have almost run out of clothes for him. Make yourself a note-next time you get a babyshower gift, buy some 12-18 months clothes for the mom-to-be! I have realized that people only like buying the really tiny stuff because its cute. But what happens when the baby isnt tiny anymore? They dont wear clothes? Ha! Anyways... I dont buy regular priced baby clothes-so not worth it. Not the way he grows and stains stuff!
Other than that, all is well. He stil has a bad cough, and yes, I had a "mom" moment where I thought it was the Swine Flu (Its okay, you can laugh).

For those that remember, May is going to be a tough month for me...
With Mothers day, my mom's birthday and the day she became mine and Brady's angel. Please keep my family in your thoughts. I can't believe a year has gone by so quickly.

My Son is Anorexic...

Ha...not really, but I think his pedi. thinks so!
We went in for his 9 month check up today...
His head is normal...in the 50th percentile.
Length...75 percentile, at 29.5inches.
And then there's his weight...19lbs 6oz...the 35th percentile!
I dont know why? At school he eats breakfast and lunch, plus 2-3 snacks, and he gets dinner at home, plus 5-6 6oz. bottles/day.
And on the weekends, he pretty much eats when we eat (and if you know Michael and I, that is quite often ;) )
Well, I guess he needs to stop being so mobile. Maybe ill just plop him down in from of some Baby Einstien and let him eat some Ben and Jerry's! Haha, I kid, I kid!

Take Me Out To The Ball Game!!

Sunny skies, 74* weather, the Detroit Tigers...could a Saturday get any better?

We took Brady to his first baseball game Saturday afternoon. Even though it was the last game of spring training (the only time the Braves and Tigers meet) it was just as much fun as a regular season game. We had Michaels company tickets, so we sat 5 rows behind the visitors dugout, which just happened to be the Tigers! Woo-hoo!! Brady wasn't feeling too well though. He's fighting a little cold, which is expected, since I am just now over my laryngitis. And it doesn't help that the trees have the streets, cars, sidewalks and everything else covered in thick dust of yellow pollen.

Michael was standing with Brady, looking down over the dugout, and the Tigers trainer gave Brady a ball! What a fun experience (for mom and dad)!
